Business takeover
I’m Bas van Beek, owner of Hooghuis B.V. in Son en Breugel. We supply sportswear and sporting goods to educational institutions, organizations, associations, and businesses throughout the Netherlands. In 2023, I took over the company from my parents. Dinkelberg & Partners guided me through this process. They have been handling Hooghuis’ annual accounts, tax returns, and payroll for many years.
Transparency
Hooghuis is a family business, so it was very important that the takeover was handled in a transparent way. My advisor, Hans Dinkelberg, played a key role in this, which was very reassuring for both me and my parents. Hans made sure that we all felt comfortable with the decisions made throughout the transition. On the fiscal side as well, he has done a great deal for me in a short time, helping me make the right choices at the right moments.
A connector
For me, Dinkelberg & Partners is more than just an accountancy firm, I also see them as a connector. They’ve given me access to an entire new network, since they regularly organize events for their clients. Recently, for example, they invited an inspiring speaker to give a lecture on sustainable entrepreneurship. And every year, they host a golf day for their clients, from which I’ve gained valuable contacts.
Personal and approachable
As a new entrepreneur, I often have questions about administration. I can always turn to Hans for help, he’s easy to reach and responds quickly. Our relationship is not just professional but also very personal and approachable. The first half hour of our meetings is never about business. Honestly, I could just as easily grab a beer with him at the pub!
